Ci sono ancora dei ragazzi che amano leggere. Il 73% degli intervistati ha dichiarato che ama leggere molto o abbastanza. Questa è la prova che i grandi sono esagerati quando ci dicono: “Ah! Come sono cambiati i tempi! Quando non c’erano tutte queste diavolerie moderne si leggeva di più!”. Certo c’è anche un 23% che ama poco la lettura e fa fatica a concentrarsi, attratto da mille cose. Serena infatti dice: “Durante l’estate quando sono più libera, potrei leggere un libro ma trovo sempre cose più interessanti e dinamiche da fare”.
Il 50% degli intervistati pensa che coloro che amano leggere sono dei sognatori. Molti si riconoscono in questo campione. Ad esempio Maria Laura dice: “Sono una sognatrice, quando leggo mi sembra di stare tra le nuvole. Penso che tutti i sognatori si sentano così e che alcuni di essi, come me, anche dopo aver letto un libro, continuino a sognare ad occhi aperti”.
Leggere aiuta a riflettere. Abbiamo riscontrato un dato molto positivo: quasi la metà dei ragazzi intervistati (44%) pensa che leggere aiuti a riflettere. Forse perché, come dice Valerio, quando si legge si sta in silenzio; o come dice Manuela, i libri ti aiutano a riflettere soprattutto quando sono autobiografici e raccontano di un tuo stesso problema.
